Sneak peek post

Okay so I know I haven't posted in a while. and I plan to hopefully get it in today or tomorrow, this will be like the sneak peek post so to speak. : )

things to be posted about(that I can remember to post about at least):

1- the Valentines day party my nephew Tate(and sister-in-law Natalie) threw for all the baby neice's.

2- trip to the zoo with KC, Nat, and the kids.

3- The family St. Patty's day party we had(at KC and Nat's...they sure are busy people if you can't tell haha)

4- Easter Pictures of Scarlette!

5- the projects I have been asked to do for my wards visiting teaching conference. basically I will be painting Dorothy's house (when it fell on the wicked witch) 3-d style using card board boxes and, butcher paper, and paint of course AND a mural (on paper) of Emerald City. All of which has to be done by April 1st (I recieved the supply's last thursday). I am excited to do it and nervous of course too since I also watch kids throughout the week. But I know it will all work out, I really enjoy doing these kinds of projects especially when it is for church. : )

So like I said, I hope to get post and pictures up for each little event we have had.

To Jaiden

I should probably update... So my last couple blogs stated we were going to be having our 2nd baby. Unfortunately that was not Heavenly Fathers plan for us. We lost the baby. Well I don't like say "lost" we just now have to wait a little longer then usual to meet our 2nd child. We have named the baby Jaiden... a name we loved for a boy until Jacob found out it could be a girls name too(he wants a strictly boy name) So we set it aside just in case we ever changed our minds. Considering we never got to learn what gender this baby would have been we felt it fitting to use a name we loved that works for both genders. Based on the ultrasound Jaiden stopped growing at 5weeks 2day, Jan 2nd 2010...

Jaiden O'Haver-
Our wonderful baby whom we have not met yet. We love you so much, I know you know that. I know you are watching us, smiling down at us. We miss you dearly, although I am sure big sister has either no idea, or being that she is still young enough maybe knows it all and already knows you and just gets it. We can't wait to meet you one day, you will always be in our hearts.

Your Mom, Dad, and Big Sister Scarlette

sorry...i needed to get that out.

Life changes...

So we had our first doctors appointment for Baby #2, also known as Spot. Yeah I know the nickname is typical, it was a stand-in goofy nickname that grew on us. When we find out what "Spot" will be we will use the official name.

Anyway, for those who don't know I had a c-section with Scarlette. She was a week late, never dropped, and even with being induced I hardly made progress, 10 hours later and signs of distress starting to show, it was decided a c-section was best. So with this baby of course I was given the option to schedule a c-section. Considering the past events, Jacob and I thought it best to do so. Which means "Spot" will be here August 30th 2010...unless "Spot" wants to show up early...I highly doubt that though. haha. I am thrilled since I know I will not reach 41 weeks this time around. HECK YES!

We are so excited!

Cabin and SNOW

Bare with me...there are lots of pictures with this post. But I loved these ones and more, it was hard to leave some out. This is our trip to the cabin (which still had some snow...yay) with Kc, Nat, and the kids. Our original vacation plans involved Jacob, Scarlette and I going for a few days over Christmas and unfortunately that couldn't happen. So Kc and Nat invited us to go for a day/one night stay trip. We had a great time and were so thankful they invited us up with them...it helped give us a little of our original holiday plans back : )

The Waldhaus Cabin (think i spelled that right)

Scarlette enjoyed it though, especially when Uncle KC would sneak towards her.

Thank you KC it made a great picture.

A Christmas Story

Oh...Christmas, we sure do love Christmas. This year was even more amazing, since it was the first Christmas with Scarlette. I can't explain how blessed I felt this holiday season, and how thankful I am to Heavenly Father for our little family.

Well to start off, we are apart of the activities committee at our ward. This meant we got to be involved with putting on our ward Christmas party. I have never been to a church Christmas party, so this being my first, I was very excited to be apart of putting it on. So the theme was The Polar Express(a favorite Christmas movie for me) and we needed a back ground mural behind Santa. So we asked if anyone on the committee knew anyone artistic, Jacob felt the need to point me out. SOOO...this led to me sketching out a 6ft by 12 ft picture of the Polar Express train. Turns out it became a nice project for Jacob and I to do together...I made him help color. haha. Here is how it turned out...

Now for Christmas day, it ws pretty exciting having Scarlette around, she was jsut the right age to find paper amusing enough to help open some presents, and to show happiness towards the gifts she like. We got her clothes(this lacked the happiness look), and a few toys, her favorite turned out to be this Neopet stuffed thing named JUB JUB. haha.

Little Stinky Bum loved to play under the tree and take off ornaments

opening presents

oh look...its JUB JUB. love the smile on that face when she sees it.

This was mommy's first present ever as a mom and from Scarlette, made at Aunt Natalie's.
I loved it!

Scarlette's "my 1st Christmas" ornament.
Sent down from Grandma and Grandpa Thompson.
Now for our FAMILY GIFT...also I suppose our gift from Heavenly Father. The week of Christmas I was feeling a little off. So the day after Christmas I took a baby test...it was a positive one!
Yes...Baby #2 is in the making!

Thanksgiving

So in recent events we had Thanksgiving! First off was a visit to my dad's house. Were we spent time with my dad, his girlfriend Jacquie, my younger(but not so little) brother, and Jacquie's kdis and family. We had a great time, it was nice to spend a Thanksgiving with them. Since we do Jacob's family Thanksgiving on the weekend, it is now planned we will do actual Thanksgiving day festivities at my dads. We are pretty pleased!

This is Scarlette with her Papa
(yes she has to Papa's...Jacob's dad is one and my dad is the other)

Scarlette and Uncle Shane...can you tell they are related?

The second half of our Thanksgiving celebrations is the annual O'Haver family thanksgiving. This year it consisted of food, good times, gift exchanges, and family pictures. Jacob and I were very excited since they would be our first family pictures since Scarlette was born. I will put some up in a future post of course.

All the new additions, plus Tate who was new last year, but hey he's to cute to leave out

We are truly thankful for our families, and felt very blessed we got to spend time with all of them. Of course we also missed the ones who were not here or live out of state(love you mom)

Blessed

I don't keep a diary or journal or else this would probably be in there, but I do feel the need to say these things outside my own head. So here it is...

As Jacob said early this morning my family can't cut break...my family meaning my mom's side. When things get hard it is normally in November or close to, I merely joked about this a couple weeks ago. It doesn't seem so humorous anymore. It first started with my little cousin Jalen who is only 4 having to go in to have a heart catheter removed. The reason for it being put it was because off some heart and lung complication, can't remember the name. Anyway he went in the Monday before Thanksgiving was fine for the first few hours after surgery, then he had internal bleeding problems and it became touch and go. The doctors came to the conclusion the best chance of survival would be a spleen removal. This worked, but now he is to take medications daily throughout his life, assuming all other obstacles are over for him. He is now taking physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. He is such a tough boy.

Late last night I found out my Aunt Ti Ann was in the hospital, this turned out to be because of her appendix and it has now been removed. This has now been followed by finding out after church my great-aunt Wendy had passed away. This is bitter sweet, for she has been struggling with severe diabetes for the past few years, now we all know she is at ease and best of all with my Great-Grandmother(her mother), the best women I have ever known. My Uncle Bobby, bless his heart, has spent most of his days caring for her, carrying her(both literally and figuratively), doing everything he can to keep her comfortable and happy. All his kids are grown, busy and live out of state, she was his everything. I hope and pray he does okay without her.

All these things have made me feel so amazingly blessed and aware of what I have. For my husband, our love, our health, that nothing has taken him from me or me from him (I have to say that is one of our biggest fears). For our beautiful, healthy, amazing daughter who lights up our world. For the tiny blessings and the large ones. The church and knowing that should anything happen to use, we will be together again. For giving us the comfort we need in times of need and heartache, to know Heavenly Father is ALWAYS there for us. For the people in our lives outside of Jacob, Scarlette and I, both friends and family(no matter how crazy they may seem). Aside from the Gospel and Heavenly Father, Jacob and Scarlette are most wonderful blessing and it over whelms me at times my love for them. I am so thankful for them and every moment we have together.

That is all I need to share. I love you all so very much!
