The Good/The Bad

Each week we learn new things, I have learned a few things, all of which seem to have a good side and a bad side. Would you care to know what those things are, if not stop reading, if so...READ ON!

The Good- Losing weight!!! I have lost 10lbs since August, only like a million more to go.

The Bad- that I have a million more to go haha. Okay but really the bad would be when your typical go to clothes start to look saggy and frumpy, and if you know me at all, I am not a saggy frumpy kind of girl. But since I still have more to go AND winter clothes shopping is just around the corner(if the temp here ever drops) I don't want to go buy a bunch of clothes now. Other down side, my bra size went down with the lbs : (

The Good- I have a pretty awesome camera, a Nikon D5000, that I love.

The Bad- the moreI use it the more little quirks I find I actually don't care for, or it could be I just don't know my camera as well as I thought or should. Thinking I should pull out the manual and actually read it haha

The Good- This one is a SHOCKER, really. Jacob has come to HATE with a passion a couple of my shirts because I have had them so long and go to them often, cause they are easy but cute. He is sick of them, just yesturday he told me to throw my top I were to church IN THE TRASH(what?!?!---said in my Despicable Me minions voice) and that we would get more clothes next weekend.

The Bad- We don't actually have clothes shopping money, he claims he will find it(he hates this shirt alot) and we will just get a few shirts to hold me over and replace the ones going in the trash.

The Good- I have been taking more photos(Yay) and will hopefully be doing more and more.

The Bad- the more and more I do, the more and more I learn and(ironically) the less and less I feel I know. I need to pick someone's brain on photography*coughCAMIcough*

The Good- Scarlette and Sienna are growing SO much. Scarlette has learned to change her voice into a "sweet" voice to ask for things she really wants.

The Bad- That she has learned to use a "sweet" voice to convince us to give her what she wants. She figured this out at 2. Parents out there question...this is only gonna get worse isn't???

The Good
- I have an awesome husband and 2 amazing little girls we never imagined we would have(really, we thought we would have a boy, 1st then Scarlette came, so we thought SURELY our 2nd would be a boy, then Sienna came...now we have 2 girls we never expected).

The Bad
- NOTHING!!! Gotcha

Sorry no quote of the post, doing this blog entry before taking Scarlette to make up a dance class due to Fall Break last week. Gotta go!

Mysteries...

Okay so after having a blog for (X) amount of time(I really just don't know how long I have had this blog) there are still things I do not understand...

For example:

Sponsors- some peoples blogs have sponser...no clue how, what, or why they have them???

Those picture icon things at the end of post- I have also noticed on some blogs at the end of post, they have little picture icons, typically links to other things...but once again HOW, WHAT and WHY???

Personalize adorable banners- Most blogs I come across have awesomely adorable banners at the top of their blogs, not just the typical top that comes with the layout picked out on blogspot. and they are even personalize with cute pics of them and family, their name or title they wish to use etc. All I know how to do is pick a layout from here, type a blog title and find cute backgrounds via Cutest Blog on The Block and that is it. HOW, please tell me HOW, I would love to know and do this to my blogs?!?!

Buttons- kinda resembles the sponser thing, but will say grab my button on peoples blogs. maybe they are connected I am not really sure. But what are they for?

Cute decor link things- and somehow people have accomplished not just having a typical link on the side or title of the gadget but actual cute little icons/banners/link things.(do not know technical term) I want to do this!!!

Okay I need answers and help please.

READY, SET, GO!!!!!

Forever Dream...

Okay, so I have alot to catch up on, that will not occur in this post, sorry. I am simply here to share the link to my photography blog. Check it out, follow it, ignore completely ; ) It will be where I share my photography from now it, as of now the post will be to share work I have done already, so you may or may not have seen it. But as I do new work I share it there, do sneak peeks, and share photography of others I find inspiring. HERE IT IS....

ENJOY!

Home...

Our lesson for Sunbeams this week is "I am thankful for a Home". Recently Jacob and I have talk alot about homes and what we want in one and what is important to us to have and not have. So this lesson kind of hit "home" so to speak. One part I really loved in the lesson... this will also be my Quote of the Post.

"Explain that the kind of home we live in is not important. We might live in a large house, a small house, an apartment, a tent, or a boat. The important thing is that our homes are places where family members love each other."

I think it explains itself.

Even better I love that these lessons are made to teach children, our class is 3 year olds turn 4, and not that we didn't know this but I think we as adults forget this ourselves. We may even forget to teach our children this at home. But is very true, it is not about the size of your home or what kind of carpet, counter tops, and bells and whistles you have, but that your home is filled with love, happiness, and most of all the Holy Spirit. That when people walk to your home they find comfort, peace, and love.

I am thankful for my home!

The real me, or part of it...

Quote of the Post:
"There are chapters in every life which are seldom read and certainly not aloud." ~Carol Shields

I titled this one 25 things and put this quote up because I plan to tell you 25 thing you most likely don't know about me. I intend tell you mostly real things meaning not cheesy things like "I love pizza with fish on it" (which I DON'T by the way). But I know the oh-so-many people that read my blog have said before, "I knew these things already thanks to your status's on Facebook" or because you know me and already knew what events went on and such. I thought it would be a nice change to really tell you about ME, not in a selfish way but to share who I am. To be honest, it is a challenge to myself as well, to see how much I can show people of myself. It is funny, I don't mind sharing most things about myself, yet have come to realize over time how much I don't share. I thought it would be interesting to see what I come up with... So here it is 25 things about me:

1- I love to read, but only certain kinds of books. I prefer realistic books, things that can or have happened. Yes I have read and actually love the Twilight Saga, but it took my friend practically pulling out my teeth to get me to read the 1st one...I hate reading Harry Potter. I am addicted to Holocaust stories, not sure why but I am. I really wish to read The Hiding Place(
a holocaust story recommended by a friend)

2- I smile and laugh alot. Jacob says our kids should never come out unhappy because how much I laugh(
this actually caused me to bust up laughing when he said it)

3- Ironically, I hate my smile. I prefer to smile with no teeth showing, or very little, but then someone always seems to comment on the fact I am not "really" smiling. I hate my teeth too, it has been pointed out many times that they are small, I am now very self-conscious of them.

4- I highly dislike the date May 1th, not sure why, but have been weary of the date for years. Every year I get nervous as the day approaches. For example, this year Jacob ended up have an appendectomy and for the first time I spent a night away from him, and on top of that with our girls(
which then gave me extreme anxiety and paranoia all night and day till he was home) That day sucked.

5- I have a personal demon(
as I like to call it) I battle everyday that only a handful of people know about. (I am not even sure if all of them remember being told about it..except I know Jacob always remembers) Some days are super easy to ignore and other days are really hard and I just want to give in. Pray, Heavenly Father, and a promise to Jacob help me with it...ALOT. My biggest worry is it will never go away and i will forever be battling it.

6- Promises between Jacob and I are a big deal and to not be broken. We also use it against each other when trying to get the truth out. Like "Are you okay".."Yeah I am fine"..."promise?"..."no." then proceed to explain why not. Thus why my promise to him is such a huge factor in helping me with my personal demon.

7- I have been cut and coloring my own hair since the 7th grade. Only once have I gotten it professionally done and that was my Senior year for Prom/senior pictures. The idea of letting someone else do it makes me nervous. And honestly my great-grandmother was a Beautician, I kind of feel like it gives me something small to share with her(
not that I am anything close to a beautician but still...)

8- I am LDS, half black/half white, and got married and had kids young. I wish for one day, someone somewhere wouldn't be upset or disappointed with any of these choices or things that I am. I am very proud of all of them and wish people didn't see them as such bad things. What hurts most is some people are actually family that are disappointed in some of these things.

9- Memories as very important to me. It makes me cry when I feel like I am forgetting them. One of my favorites is my memory of my great-grandmothers house, I can tell you the smell, the layout, the cyloes you can see from the yard(
I stayed there when I was about 3). I really really cherish my memories.

10- Change, I am addicted to change, not sure why. But if you come over enough, you will notice something in my home is almost always different and moved around. Or my hair color or hair style. Also the photo's in my home constantly are changing. I can't seem to stop it once I get the urge to change something, it is like an annoying tick.

11- It drives me crazy if things seem crooked or slightly off, whether it is a picture, painting I am doing, photograph I am editing, bow I am making, or even a hair style. If it doesn't seem quite right I have to fix it. I also color coordinate my clothes and my girls clothes. I try to do Jacob's but his habit of not keeping them that way drives me nuts, so I tend to give up on his. No, I am NOT OCD...what would make you say that? haha

12- Ever since I started driving I only drive with one shoe one, my driving foot is always barefoot. I have tried to change this habit, but I can't seem to feel the pressure i am putting on the pedals as well and feel I am driving worse. Which makes me anxious, so I take my shoe back off.

13- I have a terrible habit of comparing myself to other. "Why can't I think of the creative things she does?" "Why don't I think to dress that way or look that cute in that kind of outfit?" "Why can't I seem to accomplish the things they do?" I it is a horrible thing, I know, I can convince myself to stop for a while, but then it starts again. Grrr....

14-Shocker, I am very self-conscious.

15- I actually enjoy doing my make-up, it is probably one thing I don't necessarily do to feel better about my self. It is more or a creative/artistic out let. People used to rag on me for wearing so much, as if I couldn't go with out it, or felt I had to wear it. That is actually not the case at all.

16- When I was little I used to pray to get cancer if it would save someone else from having to get it. Crazy I know, but I felt so bad for people who got it, I just wanted to stop it for just one person, even if it meant me getting cancer.

17- I am addicted to Blistex, I put it on multiple times a day and get antsy if I can tell me lips are dry and don't have access to my Blistex(
like if I forget when I leave...those days stink

18- Jacob and I really want twin boys someday...well at this point we will just be happy if we have a boy. But twins boys are something we would both love.

19- I like people to like me. It really gets to me if someone is upset with me about something, or doesn't like something about me. It has been known to keep me up at night thinking of why or how to fix it.

20- I don't care to ask or accept help. If you ask me if I need help, I will 90% of the time say no. I may accept borrowing a dish or supplies, but that is about it. It makes me feel like I am failing at it if I can't do it on my own(
Jacob is the exception, he can and has to help haha)

21- I have a lisp that I swear is getting worse, my guess is because my wisdom teeth or coming in and changeing how my teeth sit. I try to hide it the best I can, because, seriously it even bugs me to hear it haha.

22- Second shocker, I have anxiety. It is like this awful cycle. I am start out GREAT, I mean really great, I can go through days perfectly, nothing gets to me, I can do it all right??? Then I start to feel slowly overwhelmed by small task here and there, or small issues here and there. They build up, I start then going through my days half feeling like I ready to breakdown and half feeling completely in control. Eventually it becomes more losing control and then keeping it. I finally end up in some nervous breakdown/panic attack. But then I am back to the start of feeling perfect. It sucks, it really does.

23- I am a worry-wart. I was actually called this multiple times since elementary school. I probably spend 75% of my day(
on average) worrying or anxious about something.

24- If you haven't caught on, my great-grandmother, who is past away, is a pretty big deal to me. I often tell Jacob if there is anyone I could have had him meet from my life it would be her. All my family has also told him this as well. I still cry for her and miss her everyday. I can't wait to see you again.

25- I regret nothing, even my personal demon, yes I wish I didn't have to deal with it, yes it probably isn't one of my proudest habits I used to have. But it, along with everything else has made me who I am and gotten me where I am today. I love my life, I love my husband and my daughters more then I can say. I love the gospel and Heavenly Father and all he has given me, from blessing to trials. He always gets me through them, and luckily gave me an amazing husband who accepts it all and stand with my through it.

So there it is...the things that are seldom read about me and yes, CERTAINLY, not heard aloud.

Scarlette Alexsa

I typically have pictures, let me re-phrase that I DO have pictures from her birthday, just not on our computer yet, and I keep forgetting to ask where the cord is to upload them. But this is my post for Scarlette, my beautiful 1st daughter and 1st child who turned 2 on the 9th. We went to Kids Club, rode the Carousel(she even got the pink horse on the 2nd level...her favorite), Chick-fil-A for lunch, followed by Krispy Kreme for her free DOZEN donuts, then a nap and present and cake. It was a perfect day.

Quote of the Post:
"We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today." ~Stacia Tauscher

I find this to be entirely sad and true, I know there have been so many times Jacob and I have said as she has grown we can't wait till she sits up, crawls, walks, talks, dances, can play this game with us, can be POTTY TRAINED etc. And not that we ignored who she was at the time or what she had accomplished, but you do realize one day (like when they are turning 2) that time flew by and all those days are past, and part of you would give anything for the baby who hadn't achieved all the things you were waiting for yet.

At the same time I completely adore the little girl I know today. She loves to dance and has started her first classes, she is a total HAM and loves attention. She talks far better then I ever imagined she would at this age and it cracks me up the things she says. She is so in love and amused by the world around her, it amazes me, she is truly helps Jacob and I take note of the little thing we have been blessed with in our world. Oh and I must say she is FLYING through potty training *Happy Dance*. We have spent the last few days mainly in big girls undies with very few accidents, and have even left the house(in pull ups) and come home dry because she will ask to go will at the store or where ever. So proud and soooooo happy to be close to only 1 little one in diapers. : )

But really Scarlette is pretty amazing if I do say so myself. I definitely love her and intend to keep her.

Outside Myself

After all this time without internet, Jacob remembered our computer has a WiFi card. So WE HAVE INTERNET! now onto my post...

"To love is to admire with the heart; to admire is to love with the mind." - Theophile Gautier

I have decided to put a quote with each post that would help "enhance" the post so to speak. I feel in love with this quote because it is probably the best description I can give as to how I feel about photography. I sadly don't have much time to go out and take photo's or edit them, but when I can I am so at home. I also feel this way about painting...I like to say my "art" is my outside myself. I have recently thought about doing a blog for just pictures, paintings, or any other for of art or craft I feel connected to and naming it "Outside Myself". Wether I did it myself or just found respect and love for someone else's creation. Still haven't fully made a decision on this due to the fact that would involve finding time to do both my blogs and of course to take more photos and such. I will keep you updated as to what I decide.

Well all of this leads to of course PICTURES! Scarlette turns 2 on thuesday (can you believe it..me neither) and Sienna was blessed this past Sunday, it was beautiful! Scarlette also started dance this week, she did pretty good for it being her first class. I am truly looking forward to watching her learn and grow as a little dancer! Now I will proceed to the pictures to go with all the lovely things in my life...

Sienna's Blessing Pictures...Taken a couple days before the blessing.

Our wonderful family the day of her blessing.

Scarlette on her 1st day of dance!

Uhm..LOVE THIS NEXT PICTURE!!!

Our beautiful 2 year old...well almost 2, but these were these were taken for her turning 2!
She is such an amazing daughter and had taught us so much, we love her dearly.

ps...she is IN LOVE with the American Flag or "Fly" as she calls it. no matter where we go, she is constantly yelling "Fly, there, right there!!!" Love her little heart!

I honestly feel so blessed for our daughters and to have such and amazing husband to be by myside. I couldn't ask for anything better.

Banished

yesturday it was discovered i could post on the blog through jacobs phone, and since i have been banished to our room so jacob could work on my mothers day present i am using his phone to post. as excited as i was to be able to post again i have already found some flaws, i figured there would be a couple since it is still via phone and not full internet or computer access, so of course limitations were expected. but not being able to use the shift button to capitalize my letters or use the button that gives me puncuations like apostrphes and numbers and such was not expected. i have access to comas and periods that is it. so no am not grammar challanged i do know how to puncuate and capitalize but for some reason when on the blog it doesnt registar the way his phone works to make these things happen...it is very frustrating.

please forgive me, i would never purposely toment people with such mistakes, dont worry i am just as tormented.

i will continue despite the issues. so most, if not all, of you know sienna has arrived. i would normally put an explaination point there but of course cant...sad face here.

sienna arrived april first as planned @ seven forty three am and weighed seven pounds thirteen oz and twenty inches longer. please remember i cant use numbers so yes they are in long form. for those who havent seen her she hair brown hair and beautiful blue eyes looks like her sister, with of course her own differences. she is such a good baby and scarlette has been a great big sister. scarlette has handled her arrival so well and we are very proud of her.

our family is very blessed to have such lovely little girls, jacob and i could imagine our family without them.

ps...due to the slight disfunction of this whole phone usage i wont be posting daily...but because it is the best option i have i will take advantage of it at least once a week. yay for being partially back to blogging. now i just need jacob to see if we get put pictures in a post...he at least helped me get one picture of sienna on the side with each of our pictures...we just couldnt move it to the spot i would like it in. i cant wait to have internet on our computer again.

Gasp for air...

Where do I even begin?!

So to explain the lack of post, first our computer got a virus back in August, then we canceled our internet for a while(which is still off...I am just at my in-laws on their computer). I honestly feel like I am getting to come up for a big breathe of air considering there is SO much I would love to have shared in the last few months. But I can only gasp for air and go back under until the next time I have computer access with internet. My goal in this post is to update everyone(that cares) with little tidbits of what has been going on in our world.

Let's see where did I leave off.

OH YEAH...I was only like 7 weeks pregnant. I am now 34 weeks pregnant 35 weeks on friday, wow did this pregnancy fly. I am sure having a toddler and watching kids has helped that. Considering I am 34 weeks that does mean I know what we are having. Can I just say first that Jacob and I stink at intuition of what we are having? With Scarlette Jacob talked to my belly like she was a boy and ONLY a boy until the day we found out she of course wasn't. Then considering how pattern seemed to go with the O'Haver family, which is no one has had 2 girls in a row our of what was 17 grand kids. Surely this baby MUST be a boy, RIGHT?! As we went into the ultrasound we both were just like "We are gonna go in, they will tell it's a boy no biggie". If only you could have seen both our faces...

It's A Girl!!! yup that's right, we will have TWO GIRLS running around. Jacob is terribly screwed : ) it also turns out my sister-in-law due a month before me(which is next friday) also broke the O'Haver pattern. GO US!

You may be wondering the name. Her name shall be...wait for it... Sienna Tornae O'Haver. If you don't like, I am sorry, but we love it. ps... Tornae is pronounced Tor-nay if you were not sure.

When is she coming you may also be wondering?(this is all based on her not coming early on her own) well we just got the call yesterday our c-section is schedule April 1st(yes it is on APRIL FOOL'S day) and we have a check in of 5 am. We are so happy about that, we get to start our day with meeting our baby girl. I am especially excited due to the fact that our of like 4 ultrasounds SHE WON'T SHOW US HER FACE! we have NO CLUE what she looks like, oh except she has cheeks like her sister. But I would like to have compared more between their ultrasound pictures and have a good one to scrapbook, but no. : ( So here I wait twiddling my thumbs thinking up what she will look like.

I also can't wait to see Scarlette with her little sister, she has recently been able to spend time with 2 new nephews of ours born in December. She adores them and loves to touch, cuddle, and huge them and help hold bottles. She doesn't get jealous if I hold them. Does this guaranteeNenna hugs and kisses and gets excited when she looks at her ultrasound pictures on the fridge. I really can't wait for her to meet Sienna and to see the two on them together...I promise I will end up crying about, this will either be do to me just being naturally sappy or pregnancy hormones, either way I already know it will happen.

Oh and just in case you were wondering Sienna and Nenna are the same baby. ScarletteNenna, which we found cute, so it stuck as her nickname : )

Things about Scarlette...

Gosh she has grown and changed so much I don't even know where to begin. I will try to make it short and sweet, since you just read an essay up there. Uhm...her hair has grown enough to do pig tails(I am more excited then anyone else of course haha), she talks up a storm(at least at home, she has to get comfortable before you see her loud side if she is out of the house), she is losing her baby face :( but still adorable, says prayer(well babbles and then will say thank you and love you when prompted, followed by AMEN), she has learned to draw a "skircle" aka circle, knows her basic shapes and colors, has come to love movies and even has an opinion of what she wants to watch. Beauty and the Beast is always watched first thing in the morning, this has gone on for almost a month. Recently Corpse Bride has been the next most watch movie, closely followed by Nightmare Before Christmas, Prince of Egypt, and then Despicable Me. We have plenty others to choose from, they apparently just aren't as cool.

Then there is my favorite thing, DANCING, she loves to dance. She has learned to plie, and does her little routine of " Plie, up, turn and repeats". She can officially start dance classes in June when she is 2, yes I am counting down the months. :)

Well I think that is the best I can give you. If there is something I forgot, I am truly sorry. We hope to get our computer fixed so we can get the internet back on it, but until the first happens the second is pointless. But don't give up on me yet!

Hopefully next time you here from me I will be a mother of two wonderful daughter's and with pictures to show for it : ) I CAN'T WAIT!

ps...sorry for any grammatical errors, I don't have time to re-read and correct things : /
things will go grand with Sienna, no, but it gives my high hopes. Plus she LOVES to give Baby only calls her

He is...

all grown up...my brother that is. For those who don't know, I have one sibling, a little brother who is 5 years younger than me. He is now a SENIOR in high school, can drive, has a job and has now even treated US to dinner. He really has grown up to be quite a wonderful young man, very bright, smart, and handsome. He has goals and plans for his future, honorable ones too. He plans to join the Military (special ops or air force I believe are the too things he is interested in), this something he has been working towards since he was like 3. NO JOKE...by the age of 5 he could name WWII plans for you, by 11 or 12 he was giving tours an air field, joined ROTC in high school and excelled in that...SHOCKER, NOT. Of course we know that doesn't fully prepare him for the real thing, but I believe he was born to this.

I must say I am very proud to be his older sister. To have had the oppurtunity to teach him to read, help him with homework, our summer walks to Burger King or McDonalds and then Target just so he could by pokemon cards or Bionicles and I could buy well whatever I thought was cool at the time(probably clothes and make-up haha), and watching his dorky shows with him just to make him happy, cooking our lunches and dinners and making them look gourmet even if it was just romen and a grilled cheese sandwich(yes, its a talent haha), and all the times I let him sleep in my room when he was afraid, or being stuck playing Halo the day I stayed home sick with him when he was having hallucinations(the goal was to kill the bad guy to save our dad...weird long story), and just flat out being there for each other. Through the good and bad, yes we went through both, and both came out great people...well I think so at least.

I had the privilage of getting to do his senior pictures this past weekend. He is such a dork, and goofed off most the time, and yet that is why most of the photos turned out so great. Here are a few of the pictures.

Love you Shane!

IN OTHER NEWS...

We had our first ultrasound last week, and saw a healthy 7wk and 3 day old baby, and could see a wonderful little flutter for a heart. Of course baby is now 8wks and 4days. The due date was set for March 30th with a scheduled c-section about a week before then, the ultrasound tech said the date may or may not change since the baby was measuring a few day behind what we were thinking. I am fine either way, just excited to have a healthy baby. We see our doc next week so we can talk to him and see what his plans are for us. I will keep you all posted!

On this day, God wants you to know

"...that God sees you as you truly are, - a holy child of light: I see you strong and whole. I see you blessed and prospered. I see you courageous and confident. I see you capable and successful. I see you free from all limitations or bondage of any kind. I see you as the spiritually perfect being you truly are."

This was on my Aunt's facebook, I read it and loved it. It was kinda the perfect thing I need to hear(well read) today. I thought I would share it...

New Home..New baby?!

I never have very long to be on here, so I am just giving a mini update. First off we have MOVED! Had to on a short notice, stressful but all has worked out and to be honest I am in love with our house! I really couldn't be happier with it. Funny thing is when we came to see the house originally just to check it out, we left not as into it as much as we thought we would be. It ended up being the house we got approved for plus everything price and time wise for the move out date was right for us, so we took it. Heavenly Father must have known we would love it!(of course he did) Exactly what our little family needed...which leads me to my next second bit of news

We are PreGnaNt! (again...finially) I feel like it took forever to get this news again. For those who don't know, we lost our last baby in January early in the pregnancy and then had to wait till April to start trying again. Every month was an unfortunate negative, but we kept up hope and knew our time would come when Heavenly Father felt it best. And it has!

Estimate Due Date= APRIL 7th, 2011...then take off a week for scheduled c-section, if my new doctor does the same gameplan as my old OB doctor would have(I have to switch doc's mine stops delivering after december)

Now I am not for sure how far along we are since the miscarriage messed up my cycle. My 2 guesses are either 4 weeks and 4 days or 6 weeks and 6 days. I am going to go with the lesser simply because I would hate to loose weeks at the doctors office when they figure out for sure how far along I am. I figured I will either be right or close enough, or wrong and possible further then I thought(which would be great!) My first appointment is next friday, I am excited! I will keep you all update.

I do have one request... if you all could send good thoughts and prayers for this baby and his or hers health and strength, I would be beyond greatful : )

Love is like a Painting...

For those of you who may not know I LOVE to paint. Unfortunately I don't get to often, but when I do its such a relaxing peaceful thing for me. I really enjoy canvas painting best, but getting to paint and decorate a room definately comes up close behind. So I have 3 blank canvas's laying around and had the strong urge to paint something, but couldn't think of anything. Then we were watching Tinkerbell with Scarlette, which is also the theme for her room and suddenly I realized that is what I wanted to do with them. I figured as she grows she will always have something her mommy painted just for her (until she becomes to cool for that), or if we move they can easily go with us and be the start of decoration for her new room. So here are the 3 paintings I did, sadly I haven't actually got them put up yet or else I would have just put a picture of them up in her room : )

Side note: the quote is from Shakespear's "A Midsummer's Night Dream" said by Titania, the Queen of all fairies, it was the first Shakespear play I ever read, and probably my favorite.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

So Scarlette officially turned 1...a month ago. : ) I know I have said before how much she amazes me. But the other day I was watching her and realized in one year she has brought joy and a smile to my face DAILY. I have awed over her accomplishments, almost cried at how overwhelmed I feel with how much of a blessing she is. Then it really hit me...its only been ONE year, and she is only our 1st child. For parents who have older children and more than 1, do they continue to do this to you daily(or almost daily, I am sure being able to talk back doesn't help their cause haha)? Seriously though, and to think I can't wait to have more and be awed by what they can do. It's funny, I don't know that my heart has anymore room between Scarlette and the happiness Jacob brings me, yet I can't wait to find out. Now all I need to do is get pregnant, haha.

Speechless

So I titled this post "Speechless" simply because I couldn't truly put I title that I thought gave this post justice. Today Jacob and I did Scarlette's pictures since she will be 1 in less then a month and I wanted to get them done, edited, order prints, and get them sent out on time. While editing them I began looking over her past photos. Tears came to my eyes when I realized how fast time has gone and how much she has grown. I have decided to share her growth and the bubbly little person she has turned into. If only I could get the video's I have of her to work, then I could truly share her personality even better with you.

Day 1- one week past due date...june 9th ,2009
9lbs 4oz...no I did not push her out

One of her first full smiles!

Day of her blessing...Aug 2nd. Almost 2months old

Sitting up alone at 3 1/2 months

Scarlette and Summer...they love each others company

She is a true pizza lover...just try taking it away
Jub Jub and other furry creatures bring her smiles

She likes and eats almost anything!

Games bring her the greatest laughter and squeals just like the "Chase Me"
game with her Daddy!

Oh and of course peek-A-boo...now played through our legs : )
She shares her food AND even feeds her cousins. She has also become a big helper at spoon feeding other babies with mommy.

FISH! She LOVES fish...or as she calls them "Zshuzsh"

and Finally she is almost 1...it amazes me how much she has changed and grown. She went from a sleeping lump to standing at 7 months, walking at 8 1/2, to running away when caught in the act of something naughty by 10 1/2 months. The things her little mind understands boggles me. At times just watching her makes me speechless. Everything she does brings joy to my life(well minus the fits she have learned to throw haha)

I just love her!

Here are a 2 of her 1st year pictures...Tutu, bow, and Tinkerbell necklace made by her Aunt Natalie for her birthday! They turned out wonderful!

Well, I have just been informed I have a poopy diaper to change...can't wait till potty training beings...

Mmmm...Plastic Eggs

Yes Easter was last month...yes I am way late.

So the first of pictures are the Easter Egg Hunt with my dad, his girlfriend Jacquie, and friends and family. It was nice, mostly kids under the age of 2 so Scarlette made LOTS of friends. One little boy just a few months older played with her most of the time, they were too cute...yet I never got a picture. : (

The next few is the Easter Eggs hunt with the O'Haver Family, which is always fun and interesting!

apparently after "finding" like 2 eggs she needed a break

If you notice Tate dropped his basket in Scarlette's and then proceeded to
jack her blue sucker egg.

The giant batch of children...minus Taylor, Trey, Tryston, and Brynleigh

So here are pictures of the projects I did for visiting teaching conference. I should kick myself for not getting better ones on my good camera. I took these pictures on my phone just to text them to a couple of people, with the intention of taking better ones and forgot. Shame on me.

Anywho, this is the 6ft by 3ft mural I guess you could say of Emerald City, no I
didn't paint it slanted, I just took the picture slanted.
This is the house the lands on the Wicked Witch, I actually added a couple of touches
to it after I took this picture, like the white opening on the side roof was covered and painted
to look more finish.
I have to admit I so proud of myself for being able to stand by my promise to do this for the visiting teaching conference and still do my in-home daycare, workouts nights, and of course all the other things that come with being a mom and wife. I actually felt somewhat accomplished.

Eggs, Smiles, and Polka dot dresses

So we got a new camera and thought it would be fun to go take Easter pictures with and give me a chance to use the photo editing software a little more. These are just a few I really liked...the first is actually the one we used for easter cards. I can't believe how much she has grown since we last did pictures at thanksgiving. Even more I can't believe she is only 2 months away from her 1st birthday!

ps...taking pictures with a child who loves the outdoors, can just up and walk away from you with her easter egg, and finds the chase after funny is not easy.

You can't pinch me

These are just a couple pictures from the family St.Patty's day party, unfortunately I didn't take more. It was fun though...good food and trivia with candy prizes.
